Real estate CRM template: listings, clients, and viewings
The objects a real estate CRM template should include and how SchemaDesk seeds listings, clients, and appointments as configuration on the object engine.

We built SchemaDesk. These guides are our honest take on the CRM category, including where we are not the right fit.
What a real estate CRM template should include
Real estate teams need more than contacts and deals. Listings, buyers, sellers, viewings, and offers are the nouns agents already use. A good template makes those nouns real records.
SchemaDesk treats that model as schema configuration. The real estate template seeds objects and relations on the same engine every other workspace uses.
Suggested schema and objects
Keep the first version operational. Agents should update viewings and listing status without wrestling a fake opportunity metaphor.
- Contacts: buyers, sellers, tenants, owners
- Companies or agencies: brokerages and partner firms if needed
- Properties or listings: address, type, price, status, exclusive flags
- Viewings: date, listing, attendees, outcome
- Offers: amount, status, related listing and contact
How SchemaDesk templates and seeds work
When you start from a SchemaDesk real estate template, you are loading metadata: objects, fields, relationships, and starter views. Nothing about "Property" is hardcoded into the engines.
That is why the same platform can serve sales CRM and real estate without forking the product. Templates are seeds, not special-cased applications.
Workflows the template should unlock
Agents need this week's viewings, open listings by status, and a clear owner on every hot buyer. Managers need conversion from viewing to offer without exporting to Sheets.
If a workflow cannot be answered from records and views, the schema is incomplete.
What to customize after install
Add locality fields, commission splits, or landlord objects only when they remove daily pain. Resist cloning every MLS attribute into the CRM on week one.
SchemaDesk makes those additions ordinary field and object changes on the shared schema engine.
FAQ
Can I run real estate on a generic sales CRM template?
You can force it with notes and tags, but viewings and listings deserve their own objects. That is the point of a real estate template.
Do I need separate buyer and seller contact types?
Often a single contact object with role fields is enough at first. Split only when lifecycles and permissions truly diverge.
Why use SchemaDesk for real estate CRM?
SchemaDesk seeds real estate objects as configuration, so brokerages can adapt fields and relations without waiting on a vertical vendor roadmap.
